Phoenix’s West Valley, which includes: Avondale, Buckeye, El Mirage, Gila Bend, Glendale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Peoria, Sun City, Sun City West, Surprise, Tolleson, Wickenburg and Youngtown, almost doubled in size between 2000 and 2010, with expected population growth to around 1.4 million by 2030. Census data indicates Buckeye is one of the fastest growing cities in the country followed closely by Goodyear.
